    This is a part-time position intended for a current college student.

     

    The focus of this job will be to support KFB Agency, Inc. brokerage operations in providing quality service to the Kentucky Farm Bureau Agency Force in situations where our members’ insurance needs are outside the scope of products offered or underwritten by Kentucky Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company. This includes the areas of policy maintenance, policy billing, entering direct and agency bill commission statements, and other support functions. The duties of this job will be fulfilled using thorough judgment, broad technical skills, and a positive attitude, focused on adding value through excellent customer service to our internal and external stakeholders. This role consists of a training and development program that will prepare the participant to become an insurance brokerage professional. This participant will learn the responsibilities of brokerage staff, rules, procedures, and workflows for the Agency Assistant position and the Agency Support Representative position.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Receive and sort department mail and process customer applications
    • Scan and index documents to AMS 360
    • Assist Agency Support Representatives with indexing direct billed items, expiration list,
    • Assist with processing accurate commission, billing, and accounting transactions for the brokerage
    • Assist with verifying commissions,
    • Assist with reports for brokerage management and Accounting
    • Update policy information on the system
    • Assist with the Direct Billed download processing into AMS 360
    • Assist with the Direct Billed download report, marking cancellations inactive and reinstatements active
    • Assist with developing and maintaining the brokerage intranet page (training and learning center)
    • Assist with the completion of special projects as requested

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS

    • Physical demands: Normal vision/hearing (with or without correction);
    • Mental demands: Analytical reasoning; Prolonged concentration; Must be able to handle high volume
    • Environmental factors: Standard office lighting, temperature, and noise; Temperature controlled environment
    • Equipment: Telephone; Keyboard; Calculator; Copier; Scanner; Fax Machine; Personal Computer

    Qualifications

     

    • High School diploma or equivalent required
    • Actively enrolled in college courses working toward a Bachelor’s Degree required; Business Administration field of study preferred. Experience working with the public preferred

    • Proficiency at data entry with keyboarding skills of 60 words per minute required
