    Improves business processes and supports critical business strategies by managing the development, implementation, and maintenance of business applications systems.  Actively advises multiple project teams and oversees developers to ensure that specifications are met.  Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.  Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.  Performs a variety of tasks.  Leads and directs the work of others.  A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    Support the strategic mission of the IT function as it relates to goals for the organization.

    Demonstrate a positive supportive attitude of company and departmental goals.

    Direct the utilization of staff, facilities, and information resources to achieve company and departmental objectives on time and within budget.

    Successfully support assigned applications and system availability through responsive issue resolution in accordance with departmental service level objectives.

    Completion of development and enhancement projects on time and within budget.

    Directs the resolution of complex or unusual problems for the functional area supported by their team.

    Executes business strategies consistently to improve efficiency and effectiveness of assigned operations.

    Develop and maintain a staff that is professional, service oriented, and well trained, by having honest conversations with each individual to provide positive reinforcement, as well as, opportunities for growth and development.

    Lead the team by maximizing each person’s ability to make a positive impact.

    Conduct performance reviews for staff, including professional development plans and goals in a timely and effective manner.

    Review and make recommendations for merit adjustments and promotions that are based on performance.

    Participate with other IT Leaders in reviewing applications, interviewing, and hiring the best possible candidates for the department.

    Applies expert knowledge of and experience with project management methodologies, IT and business knowledge to provide oversight of progress for critical initiatives.

    Actively ensure and support collaboration with and the processes developed by the enterprise architect, data architect, QA Testing group, computing and network services, IT security, and computer operations.

    Participates with business and IT partners in the planning, budgeting and execution of IT strategies for the functional area supported by their team.

    Accountable for the performance of business systems developed or selected for purchase, and the satisfaction of partners and customers while adhering to IT standards and guidelines.

    Demonstrates by practice a commitment to IT guiding principles, strategies and values ensuring they are incorporated into department deliverables.

    Develops leadership by delegating authority and responsibility while maintaining ultimate accountability.

    Helps drive the development of overall objectives, policies, control techniques, standards and operating procedures for IT.

    Leads by example demonstrating the KFB Guiding Principles in daily work, decision making, and management.

    Contribute to connectivity effort by maintaining communication and acts as a liaison within the Information Technology department and other business areas.

    Regular, predictable attendance as employee has to physically be in the office.

    Effectively build a network of contacts at all levels within the organization.

    Provide exceptional customer experiences by understanding and anticipating customer needs.

    Manage relationships in ways that promote service and support the organization.

    Serve as a role model and leader to those in IT and throughout the organization.

    Provides clear, concise information to others in verbal, written, and electronic forms of communication.

    Maintain and monitor forecast of staff assignments and forecasts resource needs for budget purposes.

    Work with IT Leadership and Human Resources with regards to staffing and employee needs.

    Advise the IT Leadership team on progress of projects, plans, and personnel as well as keeping them informed of any production outages or concerns.

    Maintains working knowledge of assigned systems.

    Participates in all phases of the project development life cycle.

    Fulfill reporting requirements.

    Conduct regular status and team meetings.

    Participate in conducting IT Systems meetings.

    Participate and contribute to the corporate and departmental budget/ planning processes.

    Maintains and applies an awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies.

     

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS                                                                                          

    Physical demands: Sitting; Normal vision/hearing with or without correction; Speaking.

    Mental demands: Ability to work under time pressure and stress; Analysis, decision making and organizational skills; Ability to handle multiple, concurrent projects; prolonged concentration; Ability to provide consultation on after hours production problems.

    Environmental factors: Standard office lighting, temperature, and noise.

    Equipment:  Personal Computer; Telephone; Printer; Copier.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree.

    Five or more years experience in the information technology field with demonstrated leadership skills.

    Collaborative and communicative work style is a must.

    Experience on multiple platforms is desired.

    Formal training in management techniques, administrative management, and project management.

    Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and listening).

    Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams.

    A broad, high level understanding of software technologies.

    Solid understanding of entire project development lifecycle methodology.
