Improves business processes and supports critical business strategies by managing the continuous systems availability to the enterprise. In close coordination with IT Leadership, this position will lead the transformation of IT systems processes dedicated to providing continuous, day-to-day operation of all Server, Mainframe, Network, Integrated Batch processing, Backup/Restore, Data Center infrastructure, and Production Print services. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Support the strategic mission of the IT function as it relates to goals for the organization.

Manages vendor relationships to include contract proposal, negotiations, and renewals. Ensures vendors provide services as agreed while continually managing costs.

Continuous Disaster Recovery (technical recovery) readiness.
Manage backup tape rotation ensuring tapes are moved to secure off-site storage per policies.
Demonstrates by practice a commitment to IT guiding principles, strategies and values ensuring they are incorporated into department deliverables.
Develops leadership by delegating authority and responsibility while maintaining ultimate accountability.
Helps drive the development of overall objectives, policies, control techniques, standards and operating procedures for IT.

Contribute to connectivity effort by maintaining communication and acts as a liaison within the Information Technology department and other business areas.

Five or more years’ experience in the information technology field with demonstrated leadership skills.

Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams.
A broad, high level understanding of software technologies.
System backup and disaster recovery experience is desired.
