The Facilities Associate supports the overall care and maintenance of KFB facilities including but not limited to, the State Office, Bluegrass conference center, Offsite warehouse and the West Property Pavilion and walking track area. The Facilities Associate also serves as the point person for the execution of meeting and event preparation. 



Ability and willingness to work as part of a cross functional team and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and customers from across all levels of the organization.

Performs comprehensive daily inspections of the State Office and West property.

Works with Event Specialist to execute and maintain various conference room set ups and tear downs to support the needs of meeting organizers.

Serves as the primary responder for all Fix-it requests relevant to facilities and support services and assists with all other Fix-it requests as needed to ensure the proper response is achieved.

Drive trucks and or pull trailers up to 26’ to provide logistical support for various company events and activities including catastrophe response.

Assist with maintaining and updating preventative maintenance routines and schedules for facilities.

Maintains stock of all facility related supplies. Organizes stock in central stock area and maintains inventory in a manner that will ensure rotation of stock and allow easy access to all items.

Maintains operation skills for material handling equipment including performing and / or scheduling routine maintenance of equipment according to manufactures guidelines.

Maintains offsite warehouse, central stock area, loading dock and hallways to ensure these areas are consistently in a clean and orderly condition.

Regular, predictable attendance as employee has to physically be in the office.

Helps coordinate outbound and inbound material receiving/shipments as needed.

Provides assistance with fleet and pool car maintenance needs.

Some of the duties described above are general in nature and may not completely cover all aspects of this position. The manager may ask the employee to perform other work-related duties including, but not limited to cross-training on other positions.



Physical demands: Standing; Lifting – not exceeding 75 pounds; Normal vision/hearing (with or without correction).

Mental demands: Ability to work under time pressure and high-volume production; Analytical reasoning.

Environmental factors: Standard office lighting and temperature; Exposure to high temperatures, on occasion, when working at off-site warehouse.

Equipment: Pallet stacker; Manual and electric pallet jack; Van; Larger trucks and personal computer.



High school diploma or GED.

Ability to analyze and solve problems.

Good decision-making and organizational skills.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Experience driving large vehicles.

Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Basic PC knowledge.
