Overview

Index documents, using procedures for updates and new business/rewrites, while quality checking all pages.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS   

                

Using PC and imaging software, index individual batches of previously scanned documents into the appropriate work baskets.

Review all previously scanned pages to ensure quality, checking for specific information as outlined in procedures for the section.

Acquire knowledge to identify and handle problems which may occur during prepping and/or scanning as they relate to problem documents and scanner malfunctions.

Route documents which cannot be property indexed to rescan module and complete proper forms.

Log any index system malfunctions. Notify appropriate personnel.

Possesses knowledge of document classes.

Regular, predictable attendance.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

                                                                                 

Cross-training in document prep and imaging scanning.

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS         

                                                                                         

Physical demands: Normal vision/hearing with or without correction; Sitting.

Mental demands: Time pressure; High volume production; Attention to detail and accuracy.

Environmental factors: Standard office lighting, temperature, and noise.

Equipment: Keyboard; Personal computer.

 

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

Basic skills in Microsoft Office.

6000 KSPH numeric key skill.

Experience in Imaging or Records Control desired.

Good communication skills.

Good work organization, detail oriented, and accurate.

Good analytic skills to recognize document type.

Able to comprehend code definitions.

Good customer s

 ervice orientation.

Ability to problem-solve.
