Administers an organization's IT systems infrastructure. Ensures the accuracy and effectiveness of the systems meet business/customer requirements, monitors the performance of systems and suggests improvements. Verifies and reviews system related documents/reports including installation procedures. Develops and implements infrastructure and technology platforms, including operating systems, middleware, virtual networks, databases and Internet-related tools. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design. Performs system-wide/cross-functional administration. Participates in solving highly technical and complex problems on multiple projects and provides consultative support to internal staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Display exceptional customer service to users of IT technologies by understanding and anticipating customer needs
Serve as a role model and leader to those in IT and throughout the organization
Work with senior team members to administrator and deploy server solutions for high-availability and performance
Install, configure, patch and administer Server Operating Systems and related server application software
Install hardware infrastructure, including but not limited to server hardware, storage appliances, network connectivity, SAN’s, etc.
Continuously improve system design, deployment methodology, monitoring services, and operational capabilities to eliminate unplanned down-time
Resolve complex problems and outages related to the production environment
Provide technical problem-solving assistance
Exhibit high accountability for corporate guidelines regarding use of technology and security standards
Apply the KFB corporate guiding principles of connectivity, championing people, customer service, and operational excellence in daily work and decision making
Work on DR testing procedures
Provides feedback for staff, to help professional development plans and goals in a timely and effective manner
Provide 24 hour on-call support as needed
Regular, predictable attendance as employee has to physically be in the office

Test all changes prior to implementation

Fulfill administrative reporting requirements

Bachelor’s degree (preferably in computer science, information systems, or mathematics) or a combination of formal education, training, and experience to acquire knowledge and skills generally equivalent to those possessed by a college graduate
1-3 years of professional technology experience with a concentration in distributed technologies
1-3 years of administration experience including configuration of systems, system installation and configuration, and installation of vendor software products is desired
Certifications a plus
Average keyboarding skills
Good verbal and written communications
