Overview

Position exists to maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, applications, servers, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.  This function is also responsible for inventorying and tracking end user technologies for asset management purposes.  This individual will be considered “on call” for critical issues related to device and application support.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer experiences to all levels of the organization, including, but not limited to the Executive Office.

Perform administration tasks (ex:user/group, group policies, print services, virtual environments); research warnings and errors; and monitor resources to ensure that system software components work together seamlessly.

Monitor systems health using existing management tools (ex:SCCM/Intune), and respond to hardware/software issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new hardware when needed.

Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, print servers, printers, phones, security updates.

Maintain and build virtual machine environment and respond to user inquiries/issues.

Maintain and customize ITSM service management software.

Provide 2nd tier end user support for KFB devices and applications.

Collaborate with business departments and make recommendations regarding the use of device technology to further KFB’s business objectives.

Research and resolve end user device issues (hardware and software) in collaboration with vendors and other IT technical teams.

Apply the KFB corporate guiding principles of connectivity, championing people, customer service, and operational excellence in daily work and decision making.

Test new technologies for compatibility within KFB’s environment and evaluate potential implementation challenges.

Compose installation and procedural documentation for IT staff to ensure appropriate support of new device technologies.

Maintain end user technology inventory within KFB’s asset management system; update equipment location within the system as needed.

Order end user hardware & software utilizing standard company procedures.

Confer with vendors to obtain product information and obtain competitive pricing.

Resolve purchasing discrepancies with vendor.

Track purchases from requisition to receipt; verify orders as received.

Review, verify and track invoices for budget analysis.

Regular predictable attendance.

Other Responsibilities

 

Fulfill administrative reporting requirements.

Maintain a current knowledge of technical computer subjects deemed necessary to fulfill the essential requirements of the job.

Assist with Help Desk support and Model Office testing as needed.

Travel may be required for support of mobile devices or other end user technologies.

Attend training seminars and classes.

                                                                                                                      

Job Specifications

 

Physical demands: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; Speaking; Sitting for long periods; Kneeling; Crawling; Normal vision/hearing with or without correction; Typing; Driving a vehicle.

Mental demands: Analytical reasoning; Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative; Prolonged concentration; Creative problem-solving techniques.

Environmental factors: Standard office lighting, temperature, and noise; Some overnight travel required.

Equipment: Various computer equipment; Telephone; Auto/Truck/Van.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Consideration may be given to those who possess formal education, training, and experience to acquire knowledge and skills generally equivalent to a four-year college student.

Two to four years of experience as an administrator involving use of computer equipment and automated systems, systems performance-monitoring tools, active directories and virtualization. Proficient in administration of Microsoft products (O365, SCCM, Intune, SharePoint). 

General business skills and emphasis on attention to detail and problem resolution.

Exceptional customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).

Ability to maintain composure under adverse situations.

Ability to make timely and sound decisions under minimal supervision. 

Excellent work attendance record.

Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
