Provide support and direction to Agency Managers, Agents and Agency Staff on all activities necessary to operate a successful insurance agency marketing Farm Bureau products and services. Provide a directional foundation for Kentucky Farm Bureau (KFB) departments in their field facing role of supporting the successful operation of an insurance agency. Act as an advocate of positive harmonious relationships between the influencing parties that deliver, service, support and manage KFB products and service.

Responsible for providing the necessary support to KFB Insurance Agencies to ensure they are meeting individual agency and company objectives.
Act as the primary agency point person between all departments in the State Office and the agencies in their sales district.
Ensure a cooperative environment exists when State Office department level specialists are working with any given agency in their sales district.
Coordinate planning of activities involving agencies and State Office department level specialists when needed.
Responsible for successful implementation of all products and services represented by KFB (e.g. Southern Farm Bureau Life, Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Farm Bureau Bank, KFB Agency Incorporated).
Develop and implement motivational plans and activities to increase agent participation in contests sponsored by KFB Insurance Companies and the products and services it represents.
Assist in the development of rules and qualifications associated to contests sponsored by KFB Insurance Companies and the products and services it represents.
Ensure that all agents understand the concept of “selling Farm Bureau membership” as a vital part of selling insurance products.
Accompany new agents on sales calls as needed.
Coach new agents in the necessary work related activities that will help them meet validation requirements.
Help train agents in various skills needed for a successful career which may include, but are not limited to, time management, rewrite procedures, field underwriting, risk assessment, etc.
Manage and monitor key metrics associated to the sales district, agencies and agent’s performance as it pertains to the department and company goals.
Obtain a strong working knowledge of any company analytic tools necessary for measuring agency and agent performance.
Perform scheduled agent and agency evaluations as needed or required.
Coordinate technical and practical sales training assistance to licensed agents.
Act as a resource for Agency Managers to acquire training for CSRs with products and service KFB represents.
Identify training needs of agents of all skill levels and experience.
Recruit prospective agents and evaluate county and agency needs for additional agents. For information purposes, communicate names of prospective agents who are entering the pre-employment evaluation program to Area Program Directors and any field facing team members as needed.
Manage and maintain county insurance offices in the event of extended absences, illnesses, termination or death of a current agency manager where there is not a qualified agent.
Monitor and report any agency activity that might be out of the compliance standards held by KFB (e.g. corporate policies, State and Federal laws, Department of Insurance rules).
Monitor compliance of standards and consistence of agency advertising, signage, logo use, promotional materials, etc., and assist in cooperative advertising programs as needed.
Investigate and resolve customer complaints as appropriate.
Meet regularly with the field facing teams (KFB and Federation) to discuss each county. Pay special attention to the areas of production, profitability, and membership growth.
Produce, maintain and forward to supervisor, accurate assessment reports from each visit with agency force in their assigned counties.
Make KFB and Federation field facing teams aware of county issues as necessary.
Regular, predictable attendance as employee has to physically be in the office.

Respond to requests for information on various issues.
Serve on intra and inter company committees as directed.
Attend county board, district and annual meetings as requested or directed.
Promote organizational mission statements, goals, and objectives of both KFB Federation and KFB Mutual Insurance Company.
Provide Vice President with status reports, including accomplishments, goals and objectives as requested.
Serve as a mechanism for agencies and counties to relay questions, concerns, or suggestions to management.
Job Specifications

Bachelors Degree required.
Valid driver’s license.
Licensed in the following insurance products: Property, Casualty, Life and Health preferred or commitment to obtain the insurance product licenses.
Attend the appropriate continuing education classes to maintain insurance licenses.
Obtain or willing to obtain one or more of the following industry educational designations: LUTCF or FSCP, CLU, ChFC, CLTC, CPCU, etc.
Strong communication skills, oral and written.
Good public speaking ability.
Ability to represent KFB in a professional manner.
Ability to interact effectively with a team concept.
Self-motivated and have the ability to work independently and organize plan of work.
