The Cloud Engineer II role will participate in the design, implementation, and management of cloud-based workloads. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in managing cloud workloads, including but not limited to IaaS, IaC, PaaS, and DevSecOps methodologies.
Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based solutions using appropriate AWS services.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to plan migration of on-premises workloads to AWS.
Deploy and maintain AWS infrastructure including EC2 instances, Lambdas, S3 buckets, RDS databases, PrivateLink, among others.
Automate tasks and processes using AWS services.
Manage legacy architectures running on EC2 platform.
Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and applications to ensure high availability, reliability, and security.
Incorporate security requirements into workload implementations.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand workload requirements and provide technical solutions.
Continuously evaluate and improve the performance, security, and cost efficiency of cloud infrastructure.
Leverage and update tagging standards.
Maintain environment documentation and runbooks.
Design and implement business continuity policies for AWS workloads.
Maintain regular, predictable attendance.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and experience.
2-4 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on AWS services.
In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, AWS networking, AWS account management, and experience with cloud security frameworks.
Experience with on premises to cloud migration projects.
Ability to write and maintain scripts using languages such as Python and PowerShell.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Linux, Tomcat, Docker Administration.
